Iranian President Pezeshkian injured in Israeli airstrike: Reports

Iran has no intention of attacking neighbouring countries, says Pezeshkian

TEHRAN: Iranian media has revealed that Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian was slightly injured in an Israeli airstrike.

According to the Fars News Agency, affiliated with the Revolutionary Guards, the attack took place on June 15 during a meeting of the Supreme National Security Council in the western part of Tehran.

According to Fars News, President Pezeshkian, Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, Judiciary Chief Mohseni Ejie and other senior officials were attending the meeting. Six missiles or bombs were fired at the entrance and exit of the building, with the aim of blocking the exit of officials.

According to the report, the power to the affected floor was cut off after the explosions, but officials in the building were able to exit through a pre-prepared emergency exit. During this, some officials, including President Pezeshkian, suffered minor injuries, and the Iranian president was injured in the leg.
