ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Sales of cars in Pakistan recorded 21,773 units in Jun 2025, a 64% YoY and 47% MoM increase, as per Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association and Topline Securities Ltd.

The MoM increase was primarily driven by 39-month high sales of Alto following pre-buying as GST was about to be raised effective from Jul 01, 202,5, from 12.5% to 18.0%.

The YoY growth is underpinned by an improved macroeconomic climate, the launch of additional variants, declining interest rates, softening inflation, and upbeat consumer sentiment.

This pushed FY25 gross sales to 148,023 units, a 43% YoY increase from FY24’s 103,829 units.

Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) registered the maximum MoM growth of 2.4x, led primarily by a 2.8x MoM increase to 9,497 units of Alto retailed in June 2025, a 39-month high. Cultus also increased 2.1x MoM to 523 units, Topline Securities added.

Sazgar Engineering (SAZEW) reported MoM growth of 47% and a 55% YoY increase to 1,349 units, second second-highest monthly sales. The launch of the new facelift of HAVAL also aided in increased sales. In FY25, overall sales grew 2x YoY to 10,844 units compared with FY24’s 5,374 units.
