Punjab govt announces E-bikes for teachers

LAHORE: Plans are being made for the implementation of a new scheme for teachers regarding electric bikes, whereby teachers will be able to get an e-bike by paying only the first installment, and the rest of the payments are expected to be arranged at an institutional level.

Likewise, there is a proposal to provide free scooters to female teachers as special relief, which has been ordered by the Chief Minister.

This was revealed by Punjab Provincial Education Minister, Rana Sikandar Hayat. Apart from that, there is another proposal under discussion to offer free scooters to eligible female teachers under a concession arrangement as per instructions from the Chief Minister.

Female teachers employed in public sector establishments and meeting the required terms of service would be eligible for the concession.
