Pakistan team wins U-19 Asia Cup trophy

DUBAI: The Pakistan Under-19 team wins the Asia Cup by 191 runs against India Under-19. Sameer Minhas came to bat as an opener and did not take any Indian bowler into account, he batted brilliantly with sixes and fours.

Earlier, Pakistan scored 347 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the stipulated 50 overs, and set India a target of 348 runs to win.

Against India, Sameer Minhas played a blazing innings of 172 runs with the help of 17 fours and 9 sixes. He scored 103 runs in just 71 balls, Sameer is the top scorer of this tournament.

In addition, Ahmed Hussain scored 56, Usman Khan scored 35, captain Farhan Yousuf scored 19 and Hamza Zahoor scored 18 runs. Muhammad Sayam scored 13 and Naqab Shafiq scored 12 runs.

From India, Dipesh Devendran took 3 wickets, Khelan Patel and Hanil Patel took 2 wickets each.

Before the final, Green Shirts captain Farhan Yousuf said that they are fully prepared, will fight and will try to win the title.

It should be noted that Pakistan has won the ICC Under-19 World Cup title twice but has not yet won the Under-19 Asia Cup.

In the 2012 Under-19 Asia Cup, Pakistan was jointly champion with India.
