Punjab govt launches personalized number plates scheme, Here’s how to apply

LAHORE: The Government of Punjab has introduced a novel initiative permitting vehicle owners to personalize their number plates. This scheme, launched by the Excise, Taxation, and Narcotics Control Department, offers residents the opportunity to add a unique identifier to their vehicles, providing an added layer of customization and self-expression.

The scheme will offer three categories after which the owners can flaunt their vehicles adding a new and personal touch to their daily lifestyle.

Number Plate Customization Categories

  • Platinum Category: Allows up to eight characters, including names or meaningful words.
  • Corporate Category: Designed for businesses to display their company names.
  • Gold Category: Offers a mix of three letters and three numbers for more flexibility.

To be eligible for personalized number plates, applicants must hold a valid regular vehicle license, adhering to all legal requirements and regulations.
