KARACHI: The Sindh Assembly on Friday approved the Sindh Motor Vehicle Tax Amendment Bill and the Sindh Criminal Prosecution Services Bill.
While presenting the Sindh Motor Vehicle Tax Amendment Bill, legislator Mukesh Kumar Chawla highlighted that commercial vehicles were previously registered as private, which was causing loss in revenue.
He stressed that commercial vehicles should be properly classified to prevent misuse and increase government revenue.
The assembly also passed the Sindh Criminal Prosecution Services Bill, which aims to improve the efficiency of the prosecution system in the province. The approval of these bills marks another step in Sindh’s efforts to streamline regulations and improve governance.
