KARACHI: Flour prices are continuously increasing across the country, due to which the citizens of Karachi are forced to buy the most expensive flour in the country.
According to documents issued by the Bureau of Statistics, the maximum price of a 20-kilogram bag of flour in the country has reached Rs 2,800.
According to the documents, the price of a 20-kilogram bag of flour in Karachi is up to Rs 2,800, which is the highest in the country.
If we compare other cities, the price of a 20-kilogram bag of flour in Peshawar has reached Rs 2,750, while in the federal capital Islamabad, a 20-kilogram bag of flour is being sold for Rs 2,733 and in Rawalpindi for Rs 2,707.
In addition, the price of a 20-kilogram bag of flour has been recorded as high as Rs 2,700 in Quetta and Bannu.
According to the Bureau of Statistics, a 20-kilogram bag of flour in Hyderabad has become Rs 2,600, in Khuzdar and Larkana Rs 2,400, in Faisalabad Rs 2,350, in Gujranwala Rs 2,333 and in Multan Rs 2,267.
Compared to other major cities of the country, the price of flour has been recorded as the lowest in Lahore, where a 20-kilogram bag of flour is being sold for Rs 2,250.
