KARACHI: The price of fuel used for small training aircraft and air ambulances in the country has been increased by Rs 85 per liter.
According to Aircraft Owners Association founder Imran Aslam Khan, the price of fuel for small training aircraft has increased to Rs 670 per liter after the increase. He said that the increase in fuel prices will increase the cost of training pilots by up to Rs 1 million.
Imran Aslam said that if the tension continues, the business of flying schools will come to a standstill due to the increase in fuel prices, and the fares of air ambulance services will also increase, so the government should make fuel supply mandatory for aircraft.
He said that the US-Israeli war against Iran has badly affected Pakistan’s general aviation due to the increase in fuel prices. If fuel supply is stopped, the flights of air ambulance services and flying school aircraft will be suspended in the next few days.
According to Imran Aslam, the air ambulance service is essential for immediate transportation to save any human life. He said that the Civil Aviation and Airport Authority are supporting the improvement of air ambulance and general aviation.
