ISLAMABAD: Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik said that as soon as things improve, prices will be reduced at the same pace, and prices will be reviewed weekly.
He said that the decision to increase the prices of petroleum products was taken under compulsion. Action will be taken against those who profited by stopping the sale of petrol.
Ali Pervaiz Malik says that Pakistan had increased its reserves according to the situation. After the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, oil is being brought from other ports of Saudi Arabia.
The Petroleum Minister said that two PNSC ships are bringing oil to Pakistan from other routes in Saudi Arabia, Saudi Aramco has said that even if Pakistan sends a large ship, it will also send oil on it.
