Gold prices continue to surge in Pakistan with 2,500 increase per tola

KARAHI: Gold prices in Pakistan continued to soar to new record highs on Wednesday, mirroring the upward trend in the international market. According to data from the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold per tola surged by Rs2,500 to reach an all-time high of Rs275,500.

Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold increased by Rs2,144 to settle at Rs236,197.

In the international market, gold prices rose by $25 to reach $2,635 per ounce. Silver rates also saw gains in the local market, with the per tola price increasing by Rs100 to Rs3,050 and the 10-gram rate settling at Rs2,614.88 after a gain of Rs85.74.

This upward trend follows Tuesday’s significant price hike, where per tola gold price jumped by Rs1,100 to Rs273,000 and 10-gram gold price rose by Rs973 to Rs234,053. Pakistan’s gold market continues to reflect global price movements, driving prices to unprecedented levels.
