KARACHI: In a recent development, Pakistan saw a spike in gold prices on Thursday, with the price of 24-karat gold per tola receiving a new hike by Rs1,400 to Rs. 274,000.
According to data provided by the Sarafa Association, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs. 1,200, reaching Rs. 234,911 from Rs. 233,711. 10-gram, 22-karat gold also saw a sharp increase in price, going from Rs. 214,235 to Rs. 215,335.
The price of silver, on the other hand, was constant at Rs. 3,350 per tola and Rs. 2,872.08 per 10-gram. Due to increases in foreign markets, the price of gold rose $14 globally, from $2,614 to $2,628, as of this writing.
