ISLAMABAD: The upward trend in gold prices continued as the international bullion market witnessed an increase of $3 per ounce, taking the rate to $3,244. This global increase has had a direct impact on the local gold markets in Pakistan.

In response to the increase internationally, the price of 24-karat gold in the local bullion markets increased by Rs300 per tola to Rs342,800. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs257, now at Rs293,895.

Market analysts attribute the ongoing economic uncertainty and strong demand from investors for safe havens like gold to the ongoing rise.
