ISLAMABAD: Pakistan witnessed a sharp increase in gold prices on Monday, reflecting global market trends, once again exceeding the alarming Rs300,000 mark.
According to data shared by the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), in the local market, the price of 24-karat gold per tola increased by Rs4,000, reaching an all-time high of Rs303,000.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs3,429 to Rs259,773.
The international market also witnessed a sharp increase in gold prices by $42 on Monday, reaching $2,903 per ounce with an additional premium of $20.
The price of 24-karat silver in the local market also increased by Rs43 to Rs3,373 per tola.
