ISLAMABAD: According to an official statement issued on Wednesday, the federal government has increased the price of petrol by Rs 3.47 per litre for the next fortnight.
According to a notification by the Finance Division, the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) per litre has been increased by Rs 2.61 from Rs 258.34 to Rs 260.95.
“The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has fixed the consumer prices of petroleum products in view of the fluctuations in the international market in the last fortnight,” the official notification read.
It said the new fuel prices will be effective from January 16.
