PESHAWAR: MOL has announced the discovery of a large gas reserve in the Tal Block of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which is expected to make a significant breakthrough in meeting the country’s energy needs.

According to company officials, this new discovery is expected to yield about 26.5 million cubic feet of gas per day (MMSCFD), which will significantly increase the local energy supply.

Officials say that this success has been possible with the cooperation of joint venture partners and will further increase Pakistan’s hydrocarbon reserves. This discovery is being described as a positive step towards overcoming the country’s energy crisis. Increasing gas production at the local level will reduce dependence on imported fuel, which will not only save foreign exchange but also bring stability to the energy sector.

This discovery will help improve energy security and also pave the way for more exploration projects in the future. It should be noted that the Tal Block is one of the important oil and gas areas of Pakistan where several successful discoveries have been made in the past.
