ISLAMABAD: The inflation rate in the country has gone above 4 percent after the increase.
The Federal Bureau of Statistics (FBS) has released a weekly report on inflation, according to which an increase of 0.56 percent has been recorded in the inflation rate on a weekly basis.
The data of the Bureau of Statistics shows that 19 items became more expensive in a week, and the prices of 12 decreased, while the prices of 20 essential items remained stable.
The Bureau of Statistics says that the overall annual inflation rate in the country has reached 4.07 percent.
In a week, tomatoes became more expensive by 46.44 percent, while petrol became more expensive by 1.72 and, high-speed diesel by 1.45 percent, garlic by 1.41 and onion by 1.22 percent.
In addition, other items, including ghee, beef, mutton, yogurt, and cigarettes, became more expensive.
In a week, chicken became cheaper by 7.96 percent and bananas by 0.78 percent. The prices of other items, including pulses, potatoes, cooking oil, and LPG, also decreased.
