ISLAMABAD: Pakistan nationals living in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) can now sponsor a friend’s visit visa if they fulfill the requirements.

The income earned by the Pakistani residents in the UAE is one of the main requirements for sponsoring a visa. They must have an amount of monthly income when sponsoring a visa for a friend.

The income limit is different based on the relationship with the visitors, since a different monthly income is required for the first-degree relatives.

Monthly Income for a UAE Visit Visa

To sponsor a visit visa for a friend, the guarantor must have at least a monthly income of Dh15,000 (about Rs1.2 million as of October 3, 2025).

Earlier this week, the UAE Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) endorsed new additions and amendments to the rules on entry visa for foreign nationals.

The Middle East country has introduced four new types of visit visas for individuals who are experts in artificial intelligence, entertainment, events, cruise ships and recreational boats, as per WAM news.

The UAE also introduced a humanitarian residence permit with a duration of one year. It can be extended but it is at the discretion of the concerned authority.

“Further, a residence permit for a foreign widow or divorcee is issued for a year, with the option to renew for a similar duration, as per specified conditions,” was stated in the report.
