Punjab govt announces Rs. 600,000 subsidy for 1,000 Laser Land Levelers

LAHORE: Punjab is all set to emerge as the hub of agricultural prosperity as a latest initiative by the Chief Minister has ensured judicious use of water for farming in 2025-26.

The program, aimed at boosting farmers’ income, promises a golden era for Punjab’s agriculture, aligning with Maryam Nawaz’s vision of a flourishing province where farmers thrive, and Punjab prospers.

Through this initiative, 1,000 Laserland Levelers would be distributed among the farmers by a lottery system, with each unit subsidized at Rs. 6 lakh to reach modern agricultural technology to small and medium-scale farmers.

This is expected to improve water use efficiency, boost crop yields, and make a significant contribution to the economy at the provincial level.

Interested farmers and service providers from all districts of Punjab, excluding the Rawalpindi Division, are invited to apply. Applications will not be received after the deadline.

The process of application involves filling out a form and submitting it, along with other supporting documents, to the Director of Agriculture (Islah Abai) office by the deadline. Those who get shortlisted will then go through a selection process and finally get the Laserland Levelers.

The application form can be downloaded from the official website of the Punjab Agriculture Department – www.agripunjab.gov.pk, or taken from the offices of the Director General of Agriculture, Relief, and Irrigation Reform.
