KARACHI: Gold and silver prices recorded a sharp decline in both international and local bullion markets on Wednesday.
In the local bullion market, the price of 24-carat gold per tola decreased by Rs6,800, after which gold was priced at Rs470,362 per tola.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold dropped by Rs5,830, taking the new rate to Rs403,325.
Silver prices also witnessed a decline, with the price of silver per tola falling by Rs125 to Rs7,974.
According to market reports, the price of gold in the global market fell by $68 per ounce, bringing the new rate down to $4,480 per ounce.
It is worth mentioning that a day earlier, gold in the international market was trading at $4,548 per ounce, while in the local market gold remained stable at Rs477,162 per tola.
