Reports of Amitabh Bachchan’s hospitalization denied by close sources

MUMBAI: Reports claiming that Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan had been admitted to the hospital sparked concern among fans.

However, Close sources later dismissed the reports as baseless. Initial media reports suggested that the 83-year-old actor was undergoing treatment for stomach-related issues at Nanavati Hospital and that his son Abhishek Bachchan had also visited the hospital.

However, sources close to the family clarified that Amitabh Bachchan had only visited the hospital for a routine medical check-up and returned home the same day.

According to Indian media reports, the veteran actor regularly visits the hospital for monthly medical examinations, and this visit was also part of his normal health routine.

Another source rejected the rumours entirely and stated that the actor was in good health.

The reports gained attention on social media because Amitabh Bachchan has experienced gastrointestinal issues in the past following a serious injury during the shooting of the film Coolie.

Fans also pointed out that the actor had recently appeared outside his residence “Jalsa” for his regular interaction with admirers and later shared photographs and comments on his personal blog.

During the speculation, Amitabh Bachchan posted a cryptic Hindi message on his blog, which further fueled online discussions, although no connection to his health was confirmed.
