According to a private TV channel, the price of a 5 kW system in the market has become 550,000 rupees and the price of a 7 kW system has become 625,000 rupees.

The price of a 10 kW system is 900,000 rupees, while the price for a 12 kW system has been set at 1050,000 rupees. The price for a 15 kW system has been set at 1.3 million rupees.

On the other hand, the federal government has temporarily suspended the 16 percent general sales tax imposed on consumers generating electricity through solar systems. The government took this decision after the review petition filed by solar consumers was approved.

The President, while accepting the appeal regarding solar GST, has sent the case to the Federal Tax Ombudsman for re-hearing. The President directed that the Federal Tax Ombudsman conduct a detailed investigation into the matter.
