QUETTA: Balochistan School Education Department (BSED) declared a short-term summer vacation for all Public and Private Schools situated in the province’s Winter Zone.
In the official notice issued by BSED, schools in the colder areas would stay closed between July 18th-2nd Aug 2026. According to the notice, academic activities would restart on Monday, Aug 3rd 2026.
Furthermore, the notification said that this reopening day would be applicable for both zones, i.e Summer & Winter Zones.
This has been done via an official order issued by the School Education Department, signed by the Secretary, School Education, Lal Jan Jaffar. It stated that all concerned institutions have to observe this schedule accordingly.
Balochistan regularly schedules its academic calendars depending upon its diverse weather conditions in different areas. To accommodate these differences, the government divides the entire state into two distinct regions, summer zone and winter zone, and declares respective holidays based on their climatic changes.
The recent notice also indicated that there would be a short-term summer vacation for all schools operating under the winter zone.
Given that its reopening date is already decided, the educational bodies running both public & private sector schools throughout Balochistan will start taking sessions back on August 3 simultaneously.
