Pakistani students to get fully funded scholarships in USA, check eligibility

WASHINGTON, DC: Students in Pakistan who aspire to access higher education institutions outside of the country can now start applying for the Fulbright Student Program 2027.

The program is an esteemed, fully funded scholarship program that is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and managed in Pakistan by the United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP).

The program offers funding to students who wish to pursue Master’s and PhDs from top universities in the USA.

The scholarship program is open to Pakistani applicants pursuing Master’s, while some opportunities may exist for PhD studies and selected non-degree programs, based on individual and country eligibility criteria.

Scholarship Perks

Selected candidates will be entitled to:

• Monthly living stipend
• Round-trip international airfare
• Health and accident insurance
• Books and academic materials allowance
• J-1 visa sponsorship and administrative support
• University placement assistance

The Fulbright Program is one of the most prestigious international scholarship programs, granting close to 4,000 scholarships annually to students from more than 160 countries.

Eligibility Requirements

• Be Pakistani citizens residing in Pakistan.
• Hold at least a four-year bachelor’s degree (or equivalent 16 years of education for Master’s applicants).
• Have a strong academic record.
• Meet the English language and university admission requirements.
• Apply through USEFP and commit to returning to Pakistan after completing their studies.
• All academic disciplines are eligible except clinical medicine.

Pakistani applicants can apply to the scholarship program via USEFP in the ongoing application period.
