LAHORE: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore has introduced an online system to issue roll number slip to students for the annual matriculation examination 2025.

BISE spokesperson Tahir Javed said that the introduction of QR codes on roll number slips is a major step forward in ensuring the authenticity of the examination process.

The initiative includes the addition of QR codes to the roll number slips. Candidates can easily access their personal data and roll number slip by scanning the QR code on the BISE website.

This technological advancement will help us track and verify candidates, reducing the chances of fraudulent activities.

The initiative was launched under the special instructions of BISE Lahore Task Force Committee for Boards Chairman Mazamil Mahmood, Higher Education Department Secretary Dr Farrukh Naveed, and Lahore Commissioner/Chairman Board Zaid bin Maqsood.

BISE Lahore spokesperson said the students and parents have expressed their appreciation for the board’s efforts to modernise the examination system as the examination date approaches.

Earlier, BISE Lahore has launched an automation system for the Matriculation exam to ensure transparency throughout the examination process.

The cutting-edge software system will be used to deploy examination staff, including superintendents, deputy superintendents, and invigilators.

As per details, a zone-wise centralised data bank of 100,000 teachers had been established and under the automation, the computer selected one among the five names for each of the 54 zones of the BISE Lahore.
