KARACHI: The provincial government of Sindh has announced the end of holidays in educational institutions and said that the final schedule of physical classes will be announced.

As per the details, the Sindh Education Department has indicated that the ongoing holidays in educational institutions across the province will end on March 31.

As per the pre-determined decision of the Steering Committee, preparations are underway to start the new academic year from April 1 and resume the teaching process.

Education Department sources say that the new academic year will start across Sindh from April 1, for which all arrangements are being completed. The first priority is to restore physical classes (regular attendance) instead of online classes so that the educational problems of the students can be addressed.

It should be remembered that in view of the recent national and regional situation, the Education Department had decided to keep all educational institutions closed until March 31 and during this time the education system was in a state of disruption.

Sources say that the final schedule regarding physical classes will be announced in the next meeting of the Sindh Cabinet. The meeting will review the security, fuel situation and academic calendar and issue a formal notification.

Parents and students have been advised to be prepared for the return of schools from April 1, however, the final announcement will be subject to the decision of the cabinet.
