How students can get stipend from Benazir Taleemi Wazaif programme?

LAHORE: Educational Scholarships are being awarded by the Government of Pakistan to its citizens with the help of the Benazir Taleemi Wazaif programme.

The purpose of this initiative is to ensure that it becomes easy for students to join schools. Moreover, the initiative can also be helpful in ensuring that there are fewer dropouts among children from poor families.

Quarterly educational scholarships will be distributed to the children of the existing beneficiaries of the BISP Kafalat initiative.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants fulfilling the below-listed criteria will be eligible to apply for the scholarship scheme:

  • The mother of the student must be an active beneficiary of the BISP Kafalat Program.
  • In addition to this, the child must have a valid NADRA B-Form/CRC.
  • The child must also meet the following age range criteria:
  • Primary Education 4 – 12 years
  • Secondary Education 8 – 18 years
  • Higher Secondary Education 13 – 22 years

Registration Process

Below are the steps involved in registering for the scheme:

To complete the registration procedure, guardians and parents must do the following:

  • Go to the nearest BISP Field Office along with the child.
  • B-form of the child issued by NADRA and the mobile number, which is already issued to the child through BISP.
  • The officer concerned will give the enrollment slip to the guardian/parent after registering the child.
  • The concerned officer will register the child and give an enrollment slip.
  • The school of the child will certify the slip of the child.

It should contain:

  • The class and section of the child
  • Name of the school
  • Details of the class teacher
  • Verification of the head teacher
  • Bring the certified enrollment slip to the BISP office.
  • The stipend amount will be paid after verifying the enrollment slip.
  • Requirements for Stipend: Attendance Requirement
  • In case the children are receiving stipends and want to keep on getting them, they have to ensure that they maintain an attendance of at least 70%.

Stipend Amount

  • Quarterly stipend will be:
  • Primary (Classes 1–5) Rs 2,500 Rs 3,000
  • Secondary (Classes 6–10) Rs 3,500 Rs 4,000
  • Higher secondary (Classes 11–12) Rs 4,500 Rs 5,000
