SUKKUR: The Pakistan Literature Festival 2025 Sukkur Chapter II commenced with a grand opening at the Football Ground of Sukkur IBA University, pulling together writers, poets, intellectuals, and artists from across the region.
Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah inaugurated the event, underlining the efforts of the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi in congregating such a festival to showcase literature, culture, and intellectual discourse.
The opening ceremony saw a host of dignitaries in attendance, not least the Provincial Minister for Culture & Tourism Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, Nasir Hussain Shah, and Syed Khurshid Shah, motorcycle activists Mustafa Qureshi and Munawar Saeed.
The former offered some of his most powerful insights into the festival alongside Estel’s calmative rodіdly writer stationer Ms. Nουr-u-China Шah the author, pointing toward the need for education and women’s rights.
Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah stressed the major works of the Arts Council, including the Youth Festival, Theater Festival, and International Urdu Conference. He also acknowledged the great contributions made to Sindh by the late founder of Sukkur IBA, Nisar Ahmed Siddiqui, and Syed Khurshid Ahmed Shah.
The program offered sessions in the format of Ghazal and Sufi Night featuring performances of Hamza Akram Qawwal & Group, Sanam Marvi, and Ahsan Bari. The festival aimed to build cultural development as a stage to unite all; CM Shah stressed the need for collective work, unity, and partnership.
