LAHORE: In a groundbreaking development, the Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider has taken a bold initiative to strip all male teachers and professors from women’s universities in Punjab.

This move is aimed at preventing harassment and ensuring the safety of female students, following several incidents of harassment by university professors and teachers.

According to the governor, severe punishments will be given to the people involved in any case of harassment within the boundaries of universities and colleges.

To avoid such incidents of blackmailing against women, the paper preparation and checking system will be made flexible, and instructions will be issued to all university administrations regarding the matters in this context.

However, removing male professors and teachers from women’s universities is a decisive step in this direction. At the same time, vice-chancellors and professors will be given performance evaluation forms, which will help in decision-making regarding rewards and punishments.
