Punjab CM Maryam announces significant increase in Honhaar Scholarship Programme

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced some great news to support the youth of Pakistan by increasing the budget of Honhaar Scholarship Programme.

CM Maryam Nawaz aimed to enhance the Meritorious Scholarship to 100 billion and include 20,000 extra scholarships next year. It is a massive opportunity for talented students to pursue higher education without financial constraint.

Additionally, she announced interest-free loans up to Rs 3 crore for young entrepreneurs to start new businesses and startups.

She also pledged to provide one lakh e-bikes to the students from next year and install e-bike charging stations at universities and colleges across Punjab. She believed that the modern IT sciences of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics should be taught to children, and many market-based training programs and paid internships are underway for students.

Maryam Nawaz Sharif vowed to remove obstacles on the way of a better future for the youth and ensured no capable child be deprived of education.

She said laptops will be given to students shortly, and international scholarships will be awarded to the youth according to their wish. The Chief Minister also congratulated the students receiving meritorious scholarships, who were awarded 100 percent merit without any bias of party affiliations.
