KARACHI: The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi has reduced the fee for scrutinizing or re-checking papers by 50 percent.

The board said that earlier students had to pay a fee of Rs 1,000 per subject for scrutiny. However, the scrutiny fee has now been reduced by 50 percent, making it Rs 500 per subject.

The announcement further said that the scrutiny forms will be received by February 3, 2025. Students can download the scrutiny form and fee voucher from the board’s website. Special counters have been set up in the board office for the convenience of students.

It was further said that students will submit their scrutiny forms and fees at these special counters.

It may be recalled that students and parents as well as political parties have expressed reservations over the results of the 11th grade examinations under the Karachi Intermediate Board.

In response to these concerns, the chairman of the board announced the formation of an inquiry committee.
