Punjab CM Maryam plans to launch Honhaar Scholarship program in KP, Balochistan

DERA GHAZI KHAN: In a recent educational development, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif launched the Honhaar Scholarship Programme in Dera Ghazi Khan, where over 1,200 students received scholarships worth more than Rs 30 million.

During the ceremony, she said she wanted to give scholarships to students from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan as well She emphasized obedience to parents as pride for them.

The provincial government’s top priority, however, remains providing quality education and the latest technology to students,   besides laptops, it also aims to provide e-bikes.

Maryam Nawaz Sharif had announced earlier that students who achieve above 65% marks will get a laptop, and the number of scholarships in the Honhaar laptop Scholarship must be increased to 50,000 in the coming budget.

She stated that all children who get more than 65% marks will receive a laptopand she will give it to them personally very  soon. The Honhaar Scholarship Programme is one such initiative of the government for education and the development of deserving students by increasing access to quality education and technology.

This scheme has been in great demand as many students have been awarded scholarships along with laptops.
