LAHORE: The provincial government of Punjab has approved the expansion of its school meal program to 10 more districts across the province.
Under the new phase, the program will be launched in Bhakkar, Mianwali, Layyah, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, and Muzaffargarh, as well as Chiniot, Rahim Yar Khan, Lodhran, and Vehari.
The initiative aims to provide free meals to students from grades 1 to 5, which will help improve nutrition and encourage school attendance across the province.
According to the provincial education minister, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has also approved the establishment of new Danish Schools in Sarai Alamgir and Phool Nagar to increase access to quality education.
