RAWALPINDI: Founder of  Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has filed a petition with the CPO to register a case against Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.

According to reports, lawyer Tabish Farooq sent the petition to the CPO office through courier service, in which the PTI founder expressed concern over the lack of facilities in the jail.

The petition has sought registration of a case against Maryam Nawaz, the jail superintendent, ASP Zainab, SHO Aizaz and others, a total of 8 people.

It has been alleged that on the instructions of the Chief Minister, Imran Khan has been deprived of the rights of prisoners, has been denied light in his cell and has been prevented from meeting his family. The petition further claims that Maryam Nawaz had earlier also given threats, had declared Imran Khan a sedition that must be ended, while the jail authorities and police officers are harassing his family in violation of court orders.
