Qatar offers teaching opportunities for Pakistanis educators

DOHA: Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC), an agency of the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, has announced a number of teaching opportunities in Qatar for Pakistani nationals. The recruitment is being done for a reputable client who is looking for qualified teaching staff.

The advertisement was issued on 27 May 2025, and outlines the job role, salary packages, experience requirements, and benefits.

Here’s Job Vacancies!

1. English Teacher for Secondary Classes (IGCSE)

  • Requires a 2-year bachelor’s degree with a Master’s in the same subject or a 4-year bachelor’s degree.
  • 3–5 years of teaching experience in a reputable school, preferably following the British Curriculum.
  • Two vacancies are available.

2. Global Citizenship Teacher (Social Studies) for Primary Classes

  • Requires similar educational qualifications as above.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a reputable school, ideally in the British Curriculum.
  • Applicants must hold a degree in Sociology, Archaeology, Geography, History, or Urban Planning.
  • One vacancy is available.

3. Kindergarten / Homeroom Teacher

  • Also requires a 2-year Bachelor’s with a Master’s in the same subject or a 4-year Bachelor’s degree.
  • 3–5 years of experience in Kindergarten, preferably with a Montessori Diploma.
  • Two vacancies are available.

Salary Packages

  • Primary teachers can earn up to 4700 QAR per month with a Master’s degree and up to 4300 QAR with a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Secondary school teachers may receive up to 4900 QAR (Master’s) and 4500 QAR (Bachelor’s).
  • Kindergarten/Homeroom teachers can earn up to 4500 QAR (Master’s) and up to 4100 QAR (Bachelor’s).

Benefits and Conditions

  • School-sponsored staff will be provided with shared accommodation in a villa (female teachers).
  • A monthly house rent of 700 QAR will be paid for male bachelor staff.
  • Free accommodation is not available for families.
  • Return airfare is offered once every two years.
  • Summer vacation salary is paid as per school policy.
  • Full salary is provided only after completing two months of summer break.
  • Free medical coverage is included.
  • End-of-service gratuity is given after one year.
  • The school offers transport to and from the villa.
  • A three-month probation period applies, which may be extended.
  • The selected candidate will bear all necessary expenses involved in travelling to Qatar, including processing and air travel.
