TEHRAN: Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, along with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and a high-level delegation, has arrived in Tehran as part of ongoing diplomatic efforts to mediate in the regional crisis.
The visit comes amid Pakistan’s active role in facilitating dialogue between the United States and Iran following recent tensions and a fragile ceasefire in the region. Pakistan has been engaging both sides through diplomatic channels to help de-escalate the situation and pave the way for lasting peace.
Officials said the visit is aimed at strengthening coordination with Iranian leadership and advancing mediation efforts to revive stalled negotiations between the two sides.
Pakistan’s leadership has been widely acknowledged for its role in promoting dialogue and reducing tensions, with continued diplomatic engagement expected in the coming days.
