RAWALPINDI: The 274th Corps Commanders’ Conference, chaired by Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, reaffirmed Pakistan’s resolve to eliminate all terrorist proxies and their facilitators through “indiscriminate and relentless pursuit,” according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations on Tuesday.
The forum offered Fateha for martyrs from the armed forces, law enforcement agencies, and civilians, stating that their sacrifices remain the foundation of Pakistan’s security.
The military leadership appreciated the professionalism and operational effectiveness of security forces in ongoing counter-terrorism operations.
Participants emphasized that the momentum of ongoing operations would continue until terrorist safe havens are dismantled and the use of Afghan soil against Pakistan is eliminated. The forum also underscored the importance of coordination between the government, armed forces, and the public in strengthening national security and economic stability.
The conference strongly condemned recent attacks on Saudi Arabia’s petrochemical and industrial facilities, terming them an unnecessary escalation. It also expressed concern over regional tensions and stressed the importance of dialogue, de-escalation, and diplomacy.
The forum rejected what it described as “misleading information, baseless allegations, and false flag operations” attributed to India, while also voicing concern over human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Army Chief directed commanders to maintain high standards of operational readiness, discipline, and innovation, expressing full confidence in the armed forces’ ability to counter all threats and safeguard the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
