President calls youth backbone of Pakistan’s future

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has said that the future of Pakistan lies with its youth.

In his message on the occasion of World Education Day, he said that youth are playing a key role in the co-creation of education.

Asif Zardari said that education should not be just about acquiring information but should be a means of building curiosity, capacity and character. He said that Article 25A of the Constitution of Pakistan reflects the commitment to free and compulsory education.

The President said that, according to the requirements of the modern world, the promotion of digital literacy and practical skills in education has become inevitable. Development is not possible without research, innovation and digital education.

He said that technical and vocational education provides decent employment opportunities to the youth, equal educational opportunities are necessary for women and youth from backward areas.

President Asif Zardari said that education is a national priority, youth should be made partners, education is the foundation of peace, development and prosperity.
