Accountability court cancels arrest warrants of Hassan, Hussain Nawaz

The Accountability Court suspended the temporary arrest warrants of Nawaz Sharif’s sons, Hassan and Hussain Nawaz on Thursday.

Islamabad accountability court has canceled the arrest warrants of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s sons in the Flagship, Al-Azizia, and Avenfield references of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

As per details, both Hassan and Hussain Nawaz surrendered before the accountability court judge Nasir Javed today.

The court canceled their perpetual arrest warrants in three NAB references while accepting their bail pleas for surety bonds worth Rs50,000 each.

Additionally, the accountability court also removed the fugitive status of both suspects in Panama references.

The court suspended their warrants in the case when Hassan and Hussain Nawaz’s lawyer argued that they returned to Pakistan on March 12.

Hassan and Hussain, sons of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, have been in self-imposed exile since 2017.

On July 11, 2018, the Accountability Court issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz declaring them absconders in the Avenfield reference case.
