In a historic development, Newly elected President Asif Ali Zardari has decided to make his youngest daughter Aseefa Bhutto Zardari the first lady of Pakistan.
Usually, the status of the first lady is given to the wife of the President of Pakistan. However, in this case, President Zardari’s wife, former prime minister Benazir Bhutto, was martyred in 2007 leaving the seat vacant for the first lady.
Taking on X, President Asif Zaradri’s eldest daughter Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari shared a tweet tagging Aseefa Bhutto said that from accompanying President Zardari to all his court hearings to fighting for his release from jail – now by his side as First Lady of Pakistan.

According to the details, Aseefa Bhutto will be given the status of first lady as Asif Zardari will officially announce her as the first lady.
Asifa will be given the protocol of first lady and she will be the first woman to be the daughter of the President.
Assefa Bhutto was born on 3 February 1993. She is the youngest child of Asif Ali Zardari and the late Benazir Bhutto.
Aseefa made her political debut at a Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) rally in Multan on November 30, 2020.
Aseefa had actively been involved in the Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) electoral campaign and was seen leading various rallies related to the Feb 8 election campaign for her brother Bilawal Bhutto Zardari — the party’s then-candidate for the prime minister’s post.
