ISLAMABAD: The federal government has transferred Hassan Nasir Jami, the Federal Secretary of Information Technology and Telecommunications.
In his place, Capt. (Retd) Muhammad Mehmood has been appointed as Additional Secretary (Incharge) of the IT and Telecommunication Division.

Hassan Nasir Jami, a grade 22 Pakistan Administrative Service officer, has been transferred to the position of Secretary of the National Heritage and Culture Division, per a notification released by the establishment division. The change takes effect right away.
In the IT and Telecommunication Division, Capt. (Retd) Muhammad Mehmood, a seasoned Bs-21 officer with a wealth of experience in both federal and provincial governments, takes on the role of Additional Secretary (Incharge). He has previously held the positions of Commissioner of Rawalpindi and Federal Secretary of Petroleum.

It’s important to note, though, that Capt. (Retd) Muhammad Mehmood’s name has been connected to the recent corruption controversy involving the ring road project. The Punjab Anti-Corruption Department is looking into the situation currently.
