Earthquake of 4.8 magnitude jolts Balochistan

QUETTA: Earthquake tremors once again jolted various parts of Balochistan on Monday, creating panic amongst the public.

The National Seismic Monitoring Center reports that the earthquake had a depth of 30 kilometers, an epicenter located 76 kilometers east of Zhob, and a magnitude of 4.8 on the richter scale.

Balochistan has seen earthquakes of various magnitudes in the past few days. When people in tremor-affected cities came out of their dwellings reciting Kalima Tayyaba, a wave of panic overcame them.

It is important to note that Balochistan has already seen four earthquakes in the last 72 hours. On Tuesday and Wednesday, there were also felt earthquakes in Quetta and other parts of Balochistan. The earthquake’s epicenter lay to the southwest of Quetta.
