PEC announces Seed Funding Scheme for Engineering Startups

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Engineering Coun­cil (PEC) Innovation and Entre­preneurship Committee (ICE) has invited engineering startups to submission of business pro­posals under its ‘Seed Funding Scheme for Engineering Startups’

The engineers are requested to submit business concepts that tackle major issues and opportunities in the engineering field, with an emphasis on the development of sustainable technologies in the fields of Agritech and Smart tech.

The PEC official stated that Agri-Tech and Smart-Tech are the themes for the proposals under this plan. With regards to food security, environmental sustainability, and the growing demand for agricultural products, Agri-tech plays a critical role in boosting productivity, efficiency, and sustainability in the agricultural sector. The ongoing evolution of technology integration in agriculture presents fresh chances for innovation and better farming techniques.

In order to lessen environmental impact, it also highlights the use of waste-to-product and waste-to-energy strategies. Smart technology is essential to contemporary life, transforming a number of industries with its inventiveness and efficiency. From streamlining resource management to improving communication via networked devices.
