ISLAMABAD: According to the decision, it will be mandatory for both people to wear helmets while riding a pillion on bike ride services in Lahore.
This step has been taken to reduce traffic accidents and protect the lives of citizens.
The CTO has directed ride-hailing companies to provide additional helmets in their bike services. The companies have been asked to have a helmet for every passenger on a motorcycle. It should be ensured that pillion riding is not allowed under any circumstances.
The authority has clarified that pillion riding without a helmet will be banned. If any person or company violates this order, strict action will be taken against them. Instructions have also been issued to the traffic police to ensure full implementation of this decision.
