LAHORE: Punjab was forecast to have extensive rainfall starting on March 11, according to the Pakistan Met Office. This led to an alert being issued by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) due to the anticipated high precipitation in the area.
According to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority, Punjab may get significant precipitation between March 11 and 14. Over the weekend, a wave from the west is expected to approach the country of South Asia and is expected to proceed northeast over the upper regions in the following days.

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) warned that traffic in hilly areas may be affected by the impending weather. It was suggested that preventive action be taken by all concerned departments to reduce the possibility of material and human losses. The PDMA Punjab Director General issued a warning to all relevant departments, advising them to be ready to tackle any unfavorable circumstances.
