Ramadan 2024: Federal Govt announces Ramadan Office Timings

ISLAMABAD: As Muslims pray and fast throughout the Holy Month, the recently elected government in the center has announced decreased working hours for Ramadan.

The administration led by Sharif reduced working hours during Ramadan in observance of the holy month and to make accommodations for the majority of people who fast.

Federal government employees’ work schedules will be publicized in a notification shared by the Establishment Division starting the following week. It stated that federal government offices’ usual business hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Fridays.

Office workers who work six days a week will adhere to the 9 am to 2 pm schedule. In order to accommodate individuals fasting during the holy month of Islam, the administrations of Sindh, Balochistan, and other regions had already changed the office hours.
