The petitioner had taken the position that the cards and banners of the Aurat March were not acceptable in Islamic society, so the Lahore High Court ordered to stop the immoral publicity of the Aurat March.

The petitioner argued that if one is not getting the fundamental rights, he can approach the court.

Earlier on March 1, the Lahore High Court reserved its verdict after hearing the initial statements. Today, the court pronounced the reserved judgment regarding the admissibility of the petition and dismissed it as inadmissible.

It is pertinent to note that Aurat March is celebrated on International Women’s Day i.e. March 8 every year.
