Lt-Gen Rahat Naseem visits Gwadar’s flood-hit areas

GWADAR: On Sunday, Lieutenant General Rahat Naseem, the Corps Commander for Balochistan, paid a firsthand inspection of the flood-affected areas of the Gwadar district in order to provide assistance to those in need. The visit’s objectives were to assess the situation and help individuals affected by the flooding.

In order to comprehend the difficulties experienced by the impacted populace, the Corps Commander held important conversations with local government representatives and community leaders while accompanied by the Gwadar Division’s General Officer Commanding (GOC).

Rahat Nadeem received an update on the quick actions made by relief workers to lessen the suffering of the flood victims during the visit. Along the way, he spoke with social and local leaders, reiterating the Pakistan Army’s unwavering commitment to ensuring timely relief and rehabilitation work in coordination with elected officials.

The impacted populations were reassured by the Corps Commander of the Pakistan Army’s steadfast support. Help teams have pledged to stay in the impacted areas, so as long as relief efforts are implemented on time, people suffering from the floods’ aftermath will continue to get support and comfort.

The Pakistan Army hastened the shipment of seventeen large and small water pumps from Quetta to Gwadar in order to meet the pressing requirement for water management in the areas hit by the floods.

Lieutenant General Rahat Naseem’s visit represents the Pakistan Army’s proactive approach in crisis situations and reaffirms their commitment to supporting and aiding the people of Balochistan when they face hardship. In Gwadar, Makran, and other areas of Balochistan, heavy rains seriously damaged property and interfered with daily activities and travel.

Thirty hours of nonstop rain caused flash floods that flooded large areas. The local government dispatched paramilitary personnel to begin rescue and relief efforts in the regions hit by flooding. In the areas hit by the rain, the Gwadar district government issued a state of emergency.
