Due to unfavorable weather, schools in Balochistan are closed for a week. Quetta and other colder areas are scheduled to reopen on March 7 rather than March 1.
The decision is the result of an announcement made by the relevant authorities. According to a report by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), Gwadar alone has seen the damage of over forty dwellings as a result of the recent rains and flooding.

Of them, more than fifty homes were completely demolished, while ninety more had some damage. In Gwadar, assessment work is presently being done to determine the extent of the damage.

Two roads and a bridge were also wiped away in Kech. Tents, blankets, cooking sets, and other necessities are being given to people impacted in Gwadar as part of ongoing relief operations.
