Pakistan condemns India’s seizure commercial goods on Karachi-bond ship
Pakistan has rejected the allegations hurled by India regarding the seizure of a Karachi-bond ship carrying alleged Islamabad’s nuclear and ballistic missiles program by New Delhi on Sunday.
In a press press release, Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Baloch termed Indian media’s reports on seizure of Pakistan-bond ship as habitual misrepresentation of facts.
Pakistan condemned India’s high handedness in seizure of commercial goods. Minitsry of Foreign Affairs said this disruption of free trade underscores the dangers inherent in arbitrary assumption of policing roles by states with dubious credentials.

In response to media questions regarding the Indian seizure of commercial equipment destined for Pakistan, the Spokesperson said, this is a simple case of the import of a commercial lathe machine by a Karachi-based commercial entity that supplies parts to the automobile industry in Pakistan.
Furthermore, Spokesperson added that specifications of the equipment indicate its purely commercial use. The transaction was being conducted through transparent banking channels with all the relevant documentation.
The relevant private entities are pursuing the matter against this unjustified seizure, it added.
Foreign Office empahsized that such acts also highlight the growing impunity of certain states in violating international norms and taking arbitrary measures in violation of international law.
