Prominent religious scholar of the country passes away

ISLAMABAD: The country’s renowned religious scholar Mufti Syed Mukhtaruddin Shah has passed away.

Mufti Syed Mukhtaruddin Shah was the Sheikh of Hadith of Jamia Zakaria Darul Aman Karbogha Sharif Hangu and was also serving as the patron of Wifaq Madaris Al Arabiya Pakistan.

He wrote several religious and reform books, his monastery in Karbogha Sharif Hangu was known for education, training and reform.

The funeral prayer of the deceased will be offered today at 2 pm at Markaz Darul Iman Wal Taqwa Karbogha Sharif Hangu.

The head of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, has expressed grief and sorrow over the death of Mufti Syed Mukhtaruddin Shah and said that Mufti Syed Mukhtaruddin Shah was a valuable asset of the Muslim Ummah. His heart is heavy with the news of his death.
